Intermittent Stereo
 

The stereo in my Type R comes on as requested (face lights up and buttons work as usual) but sometimes I have no sound out of it. When I turn on the ignition if I get sound it will stay on, if the sound doesnt come on it will stay off for the duration of my journey. Hope this makes sense.

I've tried 2 different stereos in the car with different looms and had the same result with both. Its as if there is a small internal amp behind the dash that is slowly giving up the ghost. Has anyone had any experience of this or got any suggestions? I've checked all of the wires as far as I can see and they are solid.
