Finally sorted an Aftermarket grill
needed to fit the later 99/00 front grill to my pre-facelift front end.
found an aftermarket grill intended for the job,but the mounting of it was non exisitant, they make these grills and just asume you wack a screw here/there and all is well, well thats all good if you want it cockeyed/crooked etc and loose as a pros kecks so,after alot of fettling managed to get it proper secured by adapting lugs on and using some more lugs/pins to secure it like the original and useing some spacers between the grill and frame and a cable tie on each corner bloody nightmare but looks good now, just wish these aftermarket parts fitted like they should grrr |
Pics, took alot of fiddling to get it to align with the bonnet, think it looks pretty good,as good is its getting anyway !

oh yeah, colour match isnt too bad either, from a spray can !
|
i would have left the mesh black, buy hey each to there own.
Looks like a good job, considering you used a spray can ^ :) |
i really like your badge btw. ;)
|
cheers,i thought about the black mesh, but masking it all up again to do it black (as it was green) i had had enough by then !
the badge is easy to do,remove it and paint the back of it,simples. ! cheers |
Nice set of what look like Fiat Steel wheel alignment bolts there ;)
Good bit of adaption & like you say, Most of the Aftermarket stuff is shocking for ease of fitment :0 But looking Mighty fine now though :thumb: Dean |
nice job :thumb: but i too would of left the grill black
