best clutch for around 300bhp/ 300lbs

hi all

Was on the way home from a fishing trip an in a bit of a rush and when the vf34 came on boost i couldnt help but notice that the road speed didnt equate to the engine speed......... thats not right:Suspiciou

the stock clutch was changed about 98 thousand miles an its at 143000 odd now.

Am i right in saying that the exedy organic clutch is uprated by 10%?
I dont know much about them but will it be enough if my car has nearly 50% more power than stock or do I need more clutch?

The uprated Exedy organic can cope with that just fine. There are often issues with judder with Imprezas that might not actually be improved by fitting one! A new flywheel certainly helps, personally I'm not that keen on light ones.

cheers for the reply mate. I was going to get the flywheel skimmed if needed.

would fitting a std six speed clutch and flywheel be an option at this level as I remember seeing a post on what to grind in the bellhousing to clear it

It's 10mm bigger, doubt it's a big deal at this power level, plus you'd have to change the starter.

Flywheel skimming is fine if everything is rosy. Far too often they are so badly high spotted you just can't.
