Newage Struts and Springs on a Classic.

As above.

Will Bugeye Spec C Shocks and springs fit a Classic V5 STi?
Is it just a matter of changing top mounts?
Or a non-starter?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, pre 03 will fit with just the rear topmount changed, 03-04 will need a spacer to keep the rear top mount concentric on the slightly revised strut (I use 15mm copper plumbing pipe LOL) and you can't use the later sping, 05on won't fit at the front as the knuckle mounting is changed.

Hi Guys,

Did this work? I've just had fitted some 2003 sti (red) shocks to my year 2000 classic and the ride hight at the back is higher than it was on the standard. It looks a little odd now, can someone advise what i need to do, or why this has happened?

I read a few people have done this upgrade and it was simply just a case of changing the top of the reds for the original shocks and then they fit fine.

The springs are new eibak (no idea how to spell that) 30mm lowering springs that were fine on the original classic shocks.

please help. Thanks
