I have this problem and i am getting pissed off with it.

It sticks at 1/4 to 1/2 way from the top and only when driving.

my dealer said the just do that.

Any help welcome.

How old is the car?

They are known (like mine) to suffer from clicking and creaking clutch pedals, but I can't see how you have been told they suffer from sticking 1/4 to 1/2 way down

I think a trip back to your dealer is in order.

Mine does this when I rev it realy hard and shift up. The clutch gets back to normal after the next gear shift though.

Check the return spring under the intercooler, if this is weak or missing that will cause it.

There is a similar thread on here with instructions for getting rid of a squeaky clutch pedal,if you can find it maybe it will help.

Havent got time to look, but its definately in the last 10 days.

ditto, my97 sticks every now & again, i'll check me spring too as now there seems to be about 1/4 too much travel in it

Had similar on my my00 - clutch pedal sticking, travel was uneven and I could hear squeeking. Asked the dealer to check it at the last service and it's been good as new ever since (5 months). Not sure exactly what they did, service sheet simply says "lubricated"!

I'll have a look tomorrow and let you know what I find:D
