question about remapping with mods
 

hi,i have got a 1999 sti import it alredy has a full decat and been remapped with an apexi ecu fc commander.i've bought a fmic and an induction kit for it is it fine to fit these mods and drive the car or does it have to be mapped straight away?will i damage the maf etc if i drive it like this?as i have heard some horra storys.is there any more mods worth doing before i get it mapped?also how much is it to get a car mapped which alredy has an apexi ecu.all your help will be much appreciated cheers.

YES, I`ve just fitted an FMIC and didn`t drive it until the day of the remap (yesterday). It did start to judder when pulling away but after the remap, the car was running smoothly again.

A remap of the Apexi is about £250, depending where you go.

My advice, allow a full day to fit the FMIC and don`t drive the car until the day of the remap, stay off boost as much as possible and you`ll be fine.
