New job

Just finished my first day at "Noisy Drinks"

Completely different to what I'm used to, AND I don't come home smothered in grease!!

Had to have a little refresher on braizing copper refridgerant pipes but picked that up quickly. Haven't done braizing for 17 years!!

Rebuilt a freezer unit with new evaporators and tomorrow the unit will be filled with gas to see if it works.

All seems pretty straight forward and it takes the same time to get to W.Thurrock as it does to Laindon which surprised me and that's doing 60mph on the A13!

My daughter is utilizing the fact that I drive past Lakeside as she want me to get her a toy from Argos tomorrow!!!

Different gas mate, Scoobs use R134A gas while the gas we use is R404!

Funk me, I almost sound like I know what I'm talking about:lol1:

Thanks guys!

ScoobyMaz, will keep an eye open for you, I'm based in Queensbridge industrial estate, opposite Motherwell Way

I was thinking R12 actually ;)

I don't want to go the conversion route ......... Unless you are able to do it ;)

did get a price from an Air con specialist before for another Pajero, but they were talking 1/3 the cost of what you could buy the whole car for.

OUCH!! sod that for a game of soldiers mate!!

Cornelius 06 August 2009 10:57 PM

R12 has been outlawed because it contains CFC gases, but you probably already know that hence the conversion;)

Nate 06 August 2009 10:58 PM

Just found a company that comes to me and does the conversion and full sevice for £120 ..... Bargain.

As long as they don't find any broken parts I suppose .

Sorry, should have said 'broken or worn' parts.

Chances are on a vehicle built in 93 that when they come to do the conversion, they'll find something else wrong
