2001 on ecu nto a 2000 classic
 

hi i'm after the pinout daigrams etc to put a 2001 on ecu into a 2000 classic has anyone dun it and any info on it
i've got a 2001 bug ecu which can be mapped with open source software which i intend to put into me classic after adding a bug inlet manifold (better/cheaper injector options) so hopefully a simple ish ecu repin and boobs ya aunty etc

More complicated than you're figuring at the moment. The easiest way to do it is to drop in an entire newage engine (inc sensors), dash and loom. Mixing and matching causes a range of electrical incompatibilities which you have to solve, and as there's no established knowledge base, you'd end up ironing most of the bugs yourself.

There are less complicated ways to skin this particular cat.
