Pondlife that steal dustcaps

Lately my village has had an influx of pondlife from the inner-city suddenly appear and the the cracks are starting to appear in what i would class as a quiet-but-not-perfect area to live in.

Today I've been sitting in the living room with my window open and i have plain view of site over my car and constantly i've have 3 little scumbags constantly try to steal my dustcaps even though they know i can see them. I go out shout at them and they come back because they know i can't lay a finger on them. I would consider going to their parents but lets face, these kids are dragged up not brought up so it would be like speaking to Sloths parents.

On the flipside of the coin it was actually one of the local kids who has been brought up in the village that actually tipped me off what was going on because she was brought up rather than dragged up. I hate townie-chav kids.:o

I'm often losing them!!

But I just go to the local garage tyre inflation area and nick a few that people have left on the ground.

Can't quite see why kids would steal them from your driveway?

After the alloy dustcaps got nicked on the Jag I fitted flush tyre valves....No valve, no cap to nick.

(just don't lose the filling adapter :o )

Kids don't bother stealing black plastic ones, and I guarantee you won't notice any performance drop-off

If its a common thing why not get a air rifle and sit and give them a few warning shots, what can the say, "the Mr shot me for stealing his dust caps?"

JackClark 27 July 2009 06:14 AM

Smear poo on them.

StickyMicky 27 July 2009 08:30 AM

Just fit the black ones and stop blinging up your wheels :D

mr_D 27 July 2009 08:38 AM

buy some locking ones. they are difficult to get off if you dont have the tool

mykp 27 July 2009 08:45 AM

I'd go with the shiit on the caps as well.

Them ones are worth much more on the dustcap black market, most thiefs don't really like to sell them, preferring to put them on display in the nice dustcap trophy cabinet they have at home.

Don't get chav alloy dust caps :lol1:

They are as bad as the chavs nicking them.

dpb 27 July 2009 09:00 AM

+1. Or, as someone said, just get the black plastic ones. One less thing for scroats to nick and you get more peace of mind and thus less 'venting of the spleen' on SN ...... :thumb:

take them off when you park up lol.

get some contact adhesive on them so when they go to unscrew them they bond to their fingers leaving them with a trip to A&E to get them removed ;-)

StickyMicky 27 July 2009 09:33 AM

Wire them up to the mains, fit knives to them, etc etc :D

ChefDude 27 July 2009 09:38 AM

every time you get home, put your car on bricks and remove the wheels into your locked garage.

That'll learn 'em :D

mr_D 27 July 2009 10:23 AM

how bad is that! cos i have nice dust caps im a chav????

thats just wrong on so many levels

dpb 27 July 2009 10:31 AM

Your only chav if theyre scoobaro blue or some other ghastly combination :Suspiciou

mr_D 27 July 2009 10:41 AM

no they are black alloys ones to go with my short black alloys valves

Leslie 27 July 2009 10:57 AM

I'd be tempted to keep a bucket of water handy just inside the front gate.

just for anyone saying i'm a chav for having bling dustcaps. They are standard black ones because i got my "bling" locking ones stole in Belfast previously!:lol1::lol1::lol1::lol1: They are worthless but i hate the fact of someone touching my car:o

jonc 27 July 2009 12:13 PM

Get one of these in your front garden. Should do the trick.

i want some of that, and load it up with steel balls!!

JamJay 27 July 2009 03:40 PM

I need some locking ones because a resident vandal keeps letting tyres down. They jam stones in the caps and screw them back on so it lets them down slowly.

Problem you see with those is the little scrotes just try to rag them off the car or use pliers and mark the alloy doing it.

Never underestimate your average toe rag!

I'm also going for the hozelock plumbed in and within easy grasp... 'just washing the car mate... can't think what your urchin might have been doing there...'
