Hi folks

I'm looking to buy an Impreza but am really undecided as to which I should get, I'll explain a little about myself first...

I love fast cars, but I also like it to handle well.

My previous cars were...Nissan Sunny GTi, Nissun 200SX, Nissan 300SX, Toyota Celica GT4, and now a BMW M5.

The BMW is mainly driven by my husband, as I don't like the way it handles, it's too big and twitchy :/

My budget is around 10-12k, not fussed about mod-cons so much as handling/performance, I'll drive the M5 if I want comfort.

So, that being said, which Imp should I be looking at? An import of some sorts I'm guessing, as the UK models seem to be lacking guts. WRX models are pretty common down here in London, STi's a little rarer, with the odd RA floating about.

Anything I should avoid? ie high mileage or majorly mod'd cars?
Any advice appreciated before I part with my cash :)

Thx
Sable.

buy yourself an sti type r

check out topmarques as they have loads and you can search for one in your area.

just remember that buying an import means higher expenses when it breaks down (and it will)

Look for a uk turbo with Prodrive Performance Pack fitted, post '98. You should pick one up with lowish miles for that money.

Thoughts on a 96 WRX RA?

Worth 10k for a low mileage one or not?

Ta for replying.

Check the insurance for R's and RA's not many places do them. If they do they aint cheap.
