spec c to 400BHP? Ways to get there.....

Ok so I have a spec c running 363 BHP and 360 lb/ft but think its time for more.

Current mods are an induction kit and decat with evutek remap.

What are the next steps and is the bottom end safe to 400 on a spec c?

Cheers

3 port boost solenoid, uprated actuator from turbo dynamics will assist.Personally id have stuck with the panel filter as you are probably drawing hot air into your induction kit zapping the power because that figure looks pretty poor to be honest

Twin or single scroll ?

400 and over would mean turbo, injectors, remap and clutch. Engine is good for that and more.

Pretty poor? Who's bull**** rr figures are you referring to then, for what is a base Stage 1 mod set-up for a Spec C? ;) Those figures seem on the money to me.

MD321T, Injectors & Remap. 400+ easy!
Dont listen to the "sucking warm air in" I monitor my air intake temps @ the MAF before and since I fitted my induction kit, temps are no warmer when on the move and thats where it counts,I've never experienced heat soak either.

Your current figures are bang on for your mods on a spec c.
Internals are fine for 400 also. So many others and myself running over 400 on standard internals.

Have a chat with Iain, their new twin scroll unit should be available soon ;) plus they do a full 400+bhp package :D
For 400+ I wouldnt go single scroll, with the way twin scroll's are going, they will make a far better all round turbo over the single scroll units ;) its just that they are still fairly new as turbo technology is concerned :(

Induction kits are PANTS on the Spec C OE turbo...... that's unless you think surge is great! :D

Looks like I shall be hunting a new turbo and injectors then! Any suppliers out there feel free to pm me prices of relevant products.
