And you think running a Subaru is expensive
Great data in evo this month on the running costs of various supercars. I know a friend of mine just sold his Gallardo with a £7,000 service looming. Compared to some that is cheap!!
The Veyron is totally eye-watering. First service is £13,645; A set of tyres at £25,000 every 2,500 miles. A set of wheels at £29,900 every 7,500 miles. By the way, the services get much more expensive after the first one. |
If you can afford one, the servicing & running costs will be a triffling expense...

Sounds almost exactly on cue actually :D
Compared say with a new mondeo at 25K , first service £345 ? |
How can they justify a service for that money?
Oil, filter, belts, plugs, pads and few other checks, but £13,000! Surely even the megarich would baulk at that? |
50% of the first service charge is labour alone for checking and resetting all the different Veyron systems.
At that price you could get and race a Ferrari FXX with Micheal Schumacher. OK, you can't take it home but I suspect it would be far more rewarding! |
I think the F1 back in the '90s was £25,000 for a service - but it was no where near as frequent.
