And it would appear that some threads have been deleted

Nat 23 July 2009 12:03 AM

PATHETIC!!!
:lol1:

Indeed.

Evolution Stu 23 July 2009 12:04 AM

Grow up folks. Its high time some of you started using this Subaru forum to discuss Subaru related topics at least once in a while as there are folk starting to border on trolling behavior with the constant mod and member bashing activities.

Yes, some threads have been deleted, and others locked, all by me. Those of you so intent on telling us all how rubbish SN is can just vote with you mice and leave as we will no longer be putting up with your constant negativity.

Nat 23 July 2009 12:07 AM

I (and other members) only really post in here and OM as don't have a Scooby anymore.

In fact, if such members did post in the scoob discussions and then were negative about scoobs you would call that trolling so i guess we can't win :lol1:

I could easily join in the scoob discussions and tell folks how crap they are if that would make you happy though?

HERE TO HELP - Nat x :)

unclebuck 23 July 2009 12:10 AM

I don't want stick my neck out here, but... is this forum not called 'non scooby related' ?

As it goes, I do actually still own a Subaru Impreza... may I ask, which MY Subaru car do you drive?

:)

Bubba po 23 July 2009 12:10 AM

Stu, we would like this place to be good again, but every time we get something going, somebody stamps it out with their frigging jackboots on. Is it too much to ask to be allowed to create something out of this disaster zone?

And I too still own an Impreza, ta.

Rubbish. I would agree with you.

Seriously guys,. just calm down the constant barrage of abuse on other members and members of the web team, nobody wants to ban long standing members of the forum but the sheer number of complaint's about certain members behavior are now coming to the point the web team will start reeling in the slack they have thus far allowed.

Dan Gleebits 23 July 2009 12:12 AM

and some of us still retain a sense of humour.... dont you Bubba ;)

.

Maybe they are trying to convey something to the people that run this board??

(Out of the box thinking I know, but even so - it might be worth considering? )

Whatever...

Nat 23 July 2009 12:14 AM

Scoob bashing blessed by Webby, see he can be alright :D

Dan Gleebits 23 July 2009 12:14 AM

*just an observation , Stu.. it might be an idea to ask/tell/order/programme the mods to stop hunting in packs. theres usually more than one in any troublesome areas.. can they not operate alone?
its not something Ive ever come across before, you see...

I certainly do. But it's getting stretched to breaking point.

Not at all. If you have any suggestions I am happy to hear them. I would like nothing more than everyone to get along in harmony and regardless of the fact its an unachievable goal I am still happy to work towards that If anyone has any useful input. The sad fact is, whenever I ask for any decent input its usually ranked as one of the quietest topics of the month. People only seem eager to complain around here.

dpb 23 July 2009 12:15 AM

NEW (old) divisions are possible even if the marque ( percieved or otherwise ) is down the pan

There is a very simple reason for that.
The way my RTM system works, the moment someone complains about a topic the ENTIRE webteam is sent an e-mail asking for a response. I personally fail to see the problem. The system works well.

I'm heading to bed now as I am up at 5:30 but If anyone wishes to enter into constructive discussion about recent issues or maybe Scoobynet improvements then please feel free to make topics in the relevant areas and I will gladly discuss your suggestions/comments/complaints further.

Dan Gleebits 23 July 2009 12:20 AM

Busy day tomorrow then Stu?

Dan Gleebits 23 July 2009 12:21 AM

Oh, and I do know all about the RTM system , we use it on other sites im familiar with and even moderate.. yet we dont all go piling in, if we see someone dealing , we leave them to it..

* again, just an observation. ;)

Always a busy day for me Dan, baby Ella still doesnt sleep through due to her medical issues so the wife tends to her early morning requirements then gets some well earned rest when I get up from 5:30am till 8:30am when I leave for work. It has to be said, I need a holiday now. I have not had over 5hrs unbroken sleep for the best part of a year now, but she is getting better month by month so the end result will be positive.

Goodnight folks.

ronjeramy 23 July 2009 12:28 AM

why not have some clear guidelines that the mods follow and make them public to the rest of us, so we have some idea what is going on, as it seems light hearted piss taking is not allowed any more :)

Spooky Mulder 23 July 2009 12:28 AM

Well, personally I think calling a series of posts, indeed a whole thread 'pathetic' is moderation of the highest order.

And I also applaud a moderator, nay owner, who recognises that a certain member was indiscriminately picking on anyone who happened to own an expensive watch or were what he regarded a 'chav'. Whatever one of those is. That kind of bullying was getting our of hand.

With respect, what you say is all very well, but I don't think that a good discussion forum is built by brainstorming and policy-making. I think you need to let the creative people get on with what they do best. The forum was cracking along nicely in the last few days but has gone utterly pear-shaped again due to unwarranted interference. It strikes me that the faceless complainers who register their disapproval via an RTM have their grievance taken seriously and acted upon, whereas those who state their position in open forum - who are the ones actually trying to make something of this forsaken hole - are branded troublemakers.

It's not working, and it's doing my head in, frankly.

Goodnight folks.

Sorry to hear about your little one - ours does not sleep well either, he will be up in four hours based on recent behaviour!

It must be a strange time - this is the second time in a year when I wholeheartedly agree with UB. Miracles will never cease!

Well said old buddy....

It's pretty simple what needs to done. The question is, has anyone on the 'team' got what it takes to sort it out??

And the answer is...

:)
