Airline apology to Indian leader
Interesting article...
BBC NEWS | South Asia | Airline apology to Indian leader "Protocol exempts former presidents and other dignitaries from such searches." 'Protocol' can lick my hairy bottom. |
Don't be ridiculous - you wouldn't expect the Royal Family to do it and a US airline would never do it to a former US president - it would seem reasonable to extend the courtesy to dignitaries around the world.

Sorry, but me too, I don't care who they are/were. Are we to extend it to celebs too? LOL

You could get a job in Homeland security!! They would love your passionate and democratic approach to security - bend over your Majesty this won't hurt a bit!!

Severe case of Don't you know who i am syndrome.
Serving prsident/leaders maybe but exes can bend over and strip off with the rest of us. |
Obviously if it's your own plane, like Air Force One (do the Royal's have one?) then their security can do what they want, but in this case it is Continental Airlines, and they must've had a couple of hundred other passengers who all had to get searched. So I don't think it would be unreasonable to expect him to be searched too.
Otherwise what is to stop someone who has been Transmogrifiied (Team America style) to look like some Ex-President, trying to blag their way past securiy! |
I can just imagine the reaction if an Indian airline had treated an ex US president so disrespectfully
