Scooby Impreza 0-60mph???

I currently run a Subaru Impreza WRX (blobeye) with power taken up to 288bhp.

I've heard a 'standard' WRX with 225bhp does 0-60mph in 5.6 seconds (albeit tests have shown it to be around 5 seconds).

So with that in mind, how fast does my Scooby do the 0-60mph sprint? A Prodrive WRX (265bhp) is expected to be quicker than a standard STi so I am assuming my (288bhp) is around 4.5 seconds or thereabouts?

WRX Blues 20 July 2009 05:10 PM

Evo magazine timed the WRX PPP at 4.8 seconds several years ago which was quicker then the STi. Quite how they managed that I'm not sure - I reckon the best that I have ever got is around 6 seconds (I am crap at launching:().
If their timings are correct I guess you can consider close to 4.5 seconds feasible. That said, I will now step down and await for sonebody slightly more qualified than me to confirm this either way:thumb:

it would be very hard to acheive manufactures claims, unless you show complete lack of mechanical sympathy.realistic your prob looking around the 5 sec mark.mid range power is far more important imo thou.

SkullFudge 20 July 2009 06:20 PM

Also the regulations that apply to manufacturers times MUST include one passenger and MUST have a full tank of fuel.

This would be why owners sometimes achieve quicker 0-60 times.

Aztec Performance Ltd 20 July 2009 06:25 PM

Most people won't acheive anywhere near manufacturers times.

A 0-60mph event I attended a few years back showed that most modified Imprezas were getting 6-7secs 0-60mph.

The only way to know how fast your car is (with you driving) is to have it properly timed.

I have also wondered this, but that burnt clutch smell after a big launch puts me off really trying.

Another question:- Does a remap increase top speed at all? :wonder:

dpb 20 July 2009 06:45 PM

Myles 22 July 2009 06:21 PM
