Hi,

Just got a 22b import and the engine was turning over funny when driving and reving at 2000rpm at traffic lights. I then drove for a bit and rev counter when I had stopped was jumping up and down. After driving about half a mile the check engine light come on so I drove very slowly and after a mile it went off. Has anyone got any advice as I do not want to damage the engine and I will have to drive to a Subaru garage tommorrow.Do Subaru dealers like Lancasters service grey imports

Thanks

Sam

I might be wrong but its sounds similar to what ive had before which was a dodgy sensor, Cam Position Sensor is one that goes. Idling screws up and doesn't let you do anything. Definetly sounds electrical though.

Regarding UK Dealers I would find it rare for one to look at it, I phoned several and they didn't want to know as it was a 22B import.

In the end Steve Lawson helped me out over the phone as did the guys at Tyres Northampton.

If you are in the southeast I'd recommend Barratts Motorsport in Canterbury. Top chaps from all accounts.
Making funny noises is a scary thing!

If you are in the North West try C&K in Manchester.
