Clowns :(

Little message to the clowns, a DBM classic & Silver STi Newage 'racing' on the A435 (Wythall/ Hollywood Bypass) today at lunch.

Bet you didn't realise you we're being tailed by plod did you? ...luckily for you they decided to tug me instead of you & give me 2 mins of grief  ...unluckily for you, they realised I had nothing to do with your antics & now have an even better description than they had before, of both driver description & number plates, both of which have been 'flagged'

100+ speeds & sideways round islands on a Sunday lunchtime in moderate traffic isn't big or clever, it's fcuking retarded & the only thing you pair, if you carry on driving like that- will ever have in common with Colin or Richard is an untimely death. ...the DBM was even 4 up ffs!

clark822 19 July 2009 02:16 PM

Hey the classic was it an x reg ? Only had tailgate me down there the other day

GMballistic 19 July 2009 02:39 PM

Don't worry DazW they'll get there's one way or the other. I used to know a guy (not a friend just worked in the same Ind Est)who had a BMW that he used to "try" and drift on public roads all the time. I saw him doing it again one night in the car park when we finished work but the next day his car was missing.
Saw him a day or two later and asked him what the story was. Turned out he was racing a chav in an Escort and drifting(or trying to) around him on a roundabout they both came together & wrote both cars off. Couldn't have happened to a nicer pair :) Lol

Not really bothered if they take themselves out, but as mentioned the classic was 4 up, that island is regularly used by cyclists (time trials) & the bypass has already been closed twice this year from Bikers wiping themselves out. It also gives the scamera partnership a good excuse to park up there!

We all like a play, but there's a time & a place ...& this was neither, not only are/were they giving us all a bad name, but to actually get acused of being party to it boiled my pi$$

Fair enough, i take your point, but grassing someone up is NEVER good, there was no need to give number plates out to the feds, descriptions yes (i.e blue clsassic with black alloys), but partial number plates is over the top.

PLus the lads will have guessed the feds pulled you instead of them, all it takes is a copper to mention "your numberplate was reported to us the other day" and the nobs who were racing will put two and two together and guess you grassed them up, so might be unfriendly next time your paths cross!

Where i come from grasses get abused for years, theres a real stigma attached to it, its also a karma thing, if you did something slightly naughty, didnt cause any harm, and thought you got away with it, only for some meddling git to come and grass you in, you wouldnt be happy would you?

lets hope nothing happens but at least if you come back and find you have no windows in your car one day it will probably be down to a silver classic or newage ! especially if the come on here and read this thread.

hope not, thats far worse than being pulled.

NEVER? never is a strong word ...i'll give you a scenario, you pull up at a garage- the bloke in front is slurring & stinks of booze, he pays for his petrol, gets back in his car & trundles off ...you gonna do the decent thing or turn the other cheek?

From the way they were driving I doubt they could actually add 2+2

And they pulled you over because you was driving normal yeah ? :wonder:

No need to grass on them fella, you might aswell have sucked the copper off while you were at it.
Hollywood bypass isnt exactly a buzy/dangerous bit of road.

And if futher down the road they had crashed and killed members of your family you would have been happy that the o/p hadn't gave their details?

The coppers must of been being picky in that case!

I am married into a family full of Traffic coppers even though I think £80% of them are pure w@nkers! I just think there's always 2 sides to a story and very surprised they didn't go after the other person and pull you! No offence bud!

nice post newb ...you'll go far!

Know the bypass well do you? ...it's been closed twice in the last 12 months (watched the air ambulance come in for the one them) due to Bikers ...I have to admit I'm only assuming they're deceased due to the flowers at the roadside ...unless they hit an Interflora van :Whatever_

& in that time I've also seen a seriously injured cyclist on Becketts island covered in an emergency blanket. not nice.

Still think it's safe to tw4t about on?

And where would this time and place be?

Sorry but youve got some neck having a go at these lads then suggesting that its ok when you do it because the time and place is "right"

none taken, I think they just didn't have a clue which way they went ...I was doubling back & I reckon they thought I was the DBM trying to be clever- once they saw the nipper in the back & that I wasn't clinically insane they were fine.

tbh I actually thought the whole subaru 'scene' was getting better of late, there's a few round here & in general they're not covered in tat & are generally being driven pretty sensibly, clearly i was wrong  ...but I know one thing, if we don't start sorting ourselves out, we can expect plently more grief from the BiB's ...& tbh, if the drivers & a couple of the posters above are anything to go by ...you can't really blame them :(

Nice. So you got pulled because you were driving a similar car to the "hoodlums". Hmmm. I think you've just actually proved that if you race on the highway, someone else will get the blame if you can leave the scene quick enough. Nice job.

As much as I hate to see idiots racing you're not far wrong.

I'm not sure where you come from Daz but it would be the end of my life as I know it if I was known to have "grassed" on someone where I come from.

Nothing to do with school playground, the people round here would hate me even if they didn't know the person I reported.

My windows would be put in, car smashed and probably me given a kicking.

I don't agree with it obviously and will move once I can afford to, but as already said, probably not the best idea. Lets face it, a bit of racing reported by you will get them what ? a stop check ? that compared to £1000 worth of damage to your car ...

I'm not saying what you did was wrong, I just pointing out how some people think.

DazW 21 July 2009 08:50 AM

Clearly this has touched a couple of nerves with some... those being 'having fun' on the public highway & the idea of 'grassing'

Lets get a few things straight & in perspective ...the driving involved wasn't 'just' a bit of a jolly 'lets see what you've got' kind of thing ...it's was balls out 10/10ths nose to tail racing, all four wheels of both cars squeeling & smoking as they negotiated the island, i've seen people chucked off track days for less, it was that bad ...& this was in midday traffic at 1:15 & i'd hazard a guess that if I'd been traffic in an unmarked car these pair would of been on the receiving end of a hefty (6-12 month) ban , it wasn't just excessive speed & racing ...it was wreckless & dangerous.

If it had been just the one car at midnight you'd have probably raised an eyebrow, two cars racing & you'd have probably thought 'dickheads' but at least they'll only take each other out ...but in Sunday daytime traffic? sorry, bang out of order- my missus, kids, Grandparents use that island & stretch of road at that time of day ffs!

As for 'grassing' ...well, this wasn't a case of dropped litter or dog fouling & it's not my first response- that normally involves talking to them face to face (bit difficult on this occasion) & I wasn't about to dial 999 either ...but If I get dragged into it then I'm not going to protect them in any way shape or form, I tend to treat people as they would treat me ...& if I was involved in anything like the above, then i'd expect everything I deserve.

Those who say you should never 'grass' ...so you'd keep schtum if you saw someone was dealing outside your kids school? or saw a couple of teenagers walking down the road with a semi auto's sticking out the back of the jeans?

Clearly people draw the line somewhere ...I've drawn/drew mine- label me a grass all you like- i can live with it

The Trooper 1815 21 July 2009 09:59 AM

Well done Daz. Totally agree. Anyone with a bit of spine would have done the same.

trails 21 July 2009 02:16 PM

Nice posts Daz, with you all the way :)

Some of the replies are quite frankly scary but a fairly accurate reflection of how this site has devolved :brickwall

ScoobyDoo69 21 July 2009 04:29 PM

Personally I think that little stretch of road is great to have fun on. However, only when people aren't around. Funny, though, that it's been said that only bikers have been seriously injured around there..

mr_D 21 July 2009 04:54 PM

i agree with what you have done. im not being funny but if i dont know the person who is getting done then i wont stick my neck out for them.

but if it was a mate then maybe i would think twice.

look after no1!!!!!! yourself!

superstar1 21 July 2009 08:21 PM

Lets av sum reeespeeect on da streeeeeet bruvaaas an not gras on me mate!!!!!!!!!
Whats this, chavs are us on scoobynet? Get a life!!!!!

You did right, for the right reasons.

There's plenty of gangster wannabes on here judging by some the posts. The perverse thing is that many of these wannabe gangsters are the same folk who post repeatedly that the police never do anything.
