new to subarus need help please

hi guys

i have recently purchased a yr99 facelift classic shape impreza

i decided the 1st mod would be a bailey dv10 bolt on replacement atmospheric dump valve

i fitted it and blanked the resurc pipe off with a bung as directed

on taking it for a test drive i noticed a whining noise on high revs and on releasing the throttle i got the nice wooshtish noise but engine seemed to loose power and nearly stall

with car being stationary and trying it the revs became erratic going up and down for about 15 seconds then going back to normal

any ideas as this bought as a direct replacement with no mention of it causing any problems

cheers in advance and any replys apriciated

They sell them because there's a market for people who want bling and silly noises. Not unrelated to the way tobacco companies and arms manufacturers realise there's money to be made from killing people. Welcome to the world!
