Swine Flu - Natures Cull?
 

65,000 deaths forecast in the UK over the next 6-9 months.

We used to have wars to cut the population, the cannon fodder were usually the lower classes who bred like rabbits (and still do!).

Is this Flu Natures way of culling the population? I suspect it is ....

65k being the top end of the scale,
5-15k being the more realistic figures they say.

Most illnesses etc of this size are indeed a natural cull, although harldy scheduled or planned eh.

I suspect that Nature has some pre-defined number at which point she steps in and hacks a few down. Natural order and all that.

I suppose there will come a time when whatever Lord makes the rules gets tired of the human race making an absolute bugger of it all, end it, then start the game again from scratch.

As I (think ?) I have swine flu, it's a real non-event.

A bit sweaty, a non-painful sore throat, a bit fatigued, and some aches in my legs.

One slightly sicky/poopy spell and a banging headache for an hour one morning.

All in all an average week, for us old folk !

I had a proper bout of flu in the late 90's that k.o.'d me for a week. Maybe I'm resistant to this one, some are off sick from work ( 8 so far !)

I know what you mean me and the wife had a bad flu bug that laid us out for a week a few years back god I have never been so ill and all I could eat was icecream lol.

I have a m8 who is laid up with swine flu he is in isolation at his parent house {front room}

I feel quite lucky I have a sniffle only atm and hope it stays like that.

Been away for a while .... nowt seems to have changed much back here.

Provided all 65000 are on benefits, Snet will be a happy place.

Hmmm - think I just survived it...

Crackling chest (;)), lethargy, sore throat, all over aches, my only jumper and dressing gown worn in 23 degree room but still shivering...

I didnt have any oincment either! Hopefully that is that.

It called getting shut of old people....thats the tried and tested way of culling, as you will soon find out. x :)

One of the staff at my daughter day nursery has been diagnosed with it, hope she is ok along with all the other she has come into contact with. There are kids as young as 6 months at the nursery

It's another media thing blown out of proportion. From last nights news:

Not prepared to handle a pandemic.

Everyone off sick - knackering the economy even more.

Whatever you do, DON'T Panic buy etc. etc.

The media is far worse than the virus IMO

Makes you think wtf are kids that young doing at nursery tbh.:(
