https://www.scoobynet.com/suspension...mpression.html Plus what my guy got wrong: the letters on top of the front struts are supposed to be closest to the outer edge of the car, otherwise the struts won't adjust up properly.

Hey guys,

Thank you very much for your help, i cant wait to get them on...hopefully over the next couple of evenings.

I think i am going to have to get it booked in for the setting up of them though..if anyone knows a good place around or near somerset let me know :)

Also anyone fitted the rear adjusters on a type r?

Thank you again guys for the above!!!

rear adjusters? I take it you mean rear adjustable topmount?

Its easy, youll probably need to move the 4 retaining hex bolts so they fit through the hole tho...

Hey i did the fronts last night...as well as putting some Brembos on so far so good.

What i was on about is the rear adjuster extenders for the clicky knob on the top of the strut...just wondered if its more difficult on a type R.

Got to take the rear seats out tonight and find the struts first...lol

Thank you for all your help by the way :)

Cheers

i believe the inside of a type r is identical to that of a 4 dr.

Just take the seats out and ull see. I didnt bother cutting a hole in the parcel shelf. I just wedged them between the seat and they work fine, and are out of the way. Had to cut them to length tho.

My rears were a bit of a pain to get on on my own. Few times of doing it made it much easier tho :)

lol...cool...

I will find out tonight hopefully....i have been having fun with brake lines today..haha

Are the extenders easy to cut to length?

Cheers
Jimmy

yeah just cut them. If it doesnt go back in peel away just one strand then cut that off and it will go back in.

measure twice cut once tho :)

Right i have fitted the backs now and fitted the new brake lines, wacked off my rear stone guards and have almost finished fitting the rear brembo brakes :)

Just got a bit more todo tonight now.

Thank you guys for all your help by the way!

Just one question are they easy to adjust the height whilst on the car, i have left the height the same level they came out the box and its looking a bit low...i havent let it off the axle stands yet just put a wheel on them.

Cheers

I would also like to know if these can be adjusted for height whilst on the car:wonder:

You can make minor height changes easily enough. Remove the road wheel, slacken the lower locking collar and wind the whole damper unit into (decrease ride height) or out of (increase ride height) the bottom mount.

For large changes youll find it easier just to pull the bottom mount off the hub and spin that up or down the damper body.
