If it's a pro background how did you get all the shadows etc...
I would love to get a Prop to get some decent shots of mine. oh yeh and what size is it? and how are you supporting the backdrop? |

I thought the Lancaster was a 4 engined version of the failed Avro Manchester from the mid 1930's early 1940's .......... :)
Overtaken by the Lincoln and then the Canberra.. A bit more than 11 years :D Shaun |
The first prototype Lancaster BT308 was assembled by Avro's experimental flight department at Manchester's Ringway Airport & made its first flight in January 1941.
The first RAF squadron to convert to the Lancaster was No. 44 Squadron RAF in early 1942. Canada was a long term operator of the Lancaster, utilising modified aircraft in postwar maritime patrol, search and rescue and photo-reconnaissance roles until 1964. The last flight by the RCAF was flown on 4 July 1964 at the Calgary International Air Show. My father trained Canadian aircrew in late 1941 to early 1943 before joining No. 101 Squadron RAF based at Ludford Magna in Lincolnshire. This was the only Squadron fitted with the Airborne Cigar (ABC) countermeasures equipment which was used to jam radio to German night fighters. http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...STER/LANC7.jpg We are frequent visitors to the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre to see their Lancaster & is where my pictures were taken. We donated some of my father's Lancaster related items to the museum & the Panton brothers often let us have some time to reflect in & around NX611 Just Jane when we visit. Their brother Pilot Officer Christopher Panton was killed in a 433 Sqn (Canadian) Lancaster from RAF Skipton-on-Swale, having been shot down over Nuremberg on March 30/31 1944 (over 500 aircrew were shot down that night by nightfighters - more aircrew than the whole of the Battle of Britain). This is my father's map of the route & nav log that his aircraft used for the same raid in which his Squadron lost 56 aircrew when 7 out of the 26 aircraft sent did not return. http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...CASTER/CT5.jpg |
