Hope they do some clear plastic protectors for those lights, I hate to think how much an indicator-sidelight-headlight-foglight single unit costs!! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

I heard the new EVO VII is fat and overweight. Like the new Impeza, they have gone for better build quality and sacrificed the performance (EVO VI looked mean as hell too).
Still, as you cannot even use 200BHP safely on most roads, who needs 276bhp in a lightweight shell (says he who has a STI). Does look nice, however I think the world is waiting for the next Impreza. We seem to be going down the hot hatch route. From lightweight, mad performance and reasonable insurance to heavyweight, moderate performance and prohibitive insurance. I'm still fighting the urge to buy a new Impreza from Japan though. Especially with the light conversions now available. However, I think I may have a couple of years off and buy a Porsche whilst the new WRX STI's become available as a second hand purchase. CB |
Did Subaru not see this before they released the MY01.

I think the new scooby is now better looking than this! Too 'chiselled' looking and lost that aggressive stance of the Evo V and VI.
Maybe better in the flesh. I shall wait and see. |
Looks a bit 'Yank' to me.....
This is nicer http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/qwerty2...ia/1-1551.jpeg [This message has been edited by James_Harvey (edited 15 February 2001).] |

The VII has improved on the VI in terns of looks (IMHO). Unlike the Subaru which now looks totaly sh1te. The rear end of the VII definately resembles the STI V and VI's

Looks loads better than the VI and as for the new WRX...
Shame they don't do the EVO in estate version... |
