Chest pain...?

Alright,

This is aimed for anyone in the know or who goes gym.

Basically been gyming for the past 4 months, 3 times a week ish. Mainly doing weights and 30 min odd of cardio.

Now the past 2 weeks ive not done much, preferring a pint in the sun, and for the past week ive been having chest pains.

For the past 3 days it hurts when i take a deep breath. LIke when ur really out of breath and its cold and not fit.

Hurts when i move.

Anyone know of any of these symptoms/offer advice?

Pain is mainly on the right..

just remembered. about a month n a bit ago i ramped up my running and a few times had to stop due to my chest hurting to much.. few mins rest and i was ok..

Go the Doctors....dont take advice on chest pains from a watch enthusiasts site.

Seriously, go the Doctors.

Sounds like a muscle tweak,
If the pain is when you breathe and when you move then Im more inclinned to guess muscle than say respiratory system.
Try rest first, if it continues see your quack.

As said, doctors first, it could be anything from a chest infection to a pulled muscle, always best to get the doc to check you out though :)

ta for the advice. Im pretty sure its just something over worked, not sure what, perhaps stuff between the ribs n chest muscle. I can breath fine just hurts a little.

If i still having issues next week i might go docs, sure it will be gone by then tho.

Anyone got this from weights? Any preventative measure/advice?

With any kind of chest pains it is important that you get a proper medical check. If I had not done that I would not be here to write this.

I've had similar pains on and off for years - two doctors think it's a muscle twang, two think it's a recurring lung infection. Been fully hospitalized with it and all is fine.

It just seems to come and go and not directly related to weights AFAIK.

But DO get checked out anyway - just to make sure.

Sorry to be blunt but are you so stupid that you don't realise that chest pain could be a sign of something wrong with your heart?

Agreed a very small chance but it seems you are happy to take that risk.

Saying you might go to the quack next week is just not good enough.

David - like me, it's on the "wrong" side and it feels more like muscle strain.

I tried to run mine off (4 miles), press up it away and then got a right ticking off from the docs at A&E - oops!
