Lambda sensor plug?

I bought a new lambda sensor for my99 classic it came with no plug so i was going to use my old one.

I took the old sensor out and removed the plug but the new sensor has different fittings on the end of the wires and they won't stay in the plug.

What is the best thing to do?

Any help would be great

Cheers Marc.

Just cut the old sensor off and solder the new wires to the old making sure they are well insulated, i used the heat shrink sleeves:thumb:

If its a cheapo universal of ebay then expect tp be changing it again sooner rather than later:freak3:

You're the only one who can really make the call on this as you're the only one who can actually see the wires and the plug. Is there some way you can fix the connectors on the new sensor into the plug in a manner that they'll make good contact? Does the new sensor come with different crimp-on contacts that will fit the Subaru plug properly?

The other obvious way forward would be to ask whether you can get a refund on this sensor. If you can, you need to weigh up the amount of time you're going to spend fiddling around with the cost of a genuine replacement and the two minutes it takes to fit.

A picture of the new sensor and loom would help:thumb:
