Iv had my turbo since Nov last. Since then I have had two idiot drivers try to drive me off the road.1st time near Pangbourne, overtook a Vectra in the nat speed limit no probs in the 30 he overtook and tried to force me onto footpath. today on A34 north a ford driver indicated and starts to pull out as Im alongside. Not had similar probs before i had this car. Anyone else had similar??

Yes.

Oh and I usually take out some sort of horrible and bloody revenge on them (in my mind).

Had this a few times myself with a lot of people but most common are 2.5V6 Vectra SRI drivers which try this move after driving about 2" from my bumper. I will usually pull in and let them past to save an accident due to a stupid overtaking manover. Happens on the motorway when they get of the phone as well, get past and pull in just after passing so you can clearly see you have been had by a V6, even on a clear motorway. Saying that I did get this all the time when driving at 30/20 in built up areas in all the cars I have driven.

Just Imagine the huge tax bill they have to pay for a 2.5V6 when the new rules come in http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

I find the headlight washer button generally works for me! Its none aggressive as well as most of these muppets dont realise where the water's coming from! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif
When you're behind someone doing 40 in the outside lane of a dual carriageway who refuses to move over! now that annoys me! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

nvr,

I have seen Scoobies driven in exactly the manner you described.

SiCotty,

The tax will not be as much as Scooby owners pay out in fuel, servicing, depreciation etc etc I imagine.

I drive a Vectra V6 SRi (company car), an Evo VI (private) and have previously had two Scoobies (private).

What sort of driver does that make me?

Forget the generalisations, every make of cars has its fair share of bad inconsiderate drivers, even Scoobies.

IanF

Er, yes, all the time. Like when you're sitting in heavy traffic on a dual carriageway, both lanes full, doing 55 and some buffoon in said repmobile is right up your jacksy with his lights on main beam. rear fogs can be a deterent.

Have to agree with ian on this one..
Unfortunatly there seems to be a fair few guys driving scoobs in & around my neck of the woods, who to be quite honest, shouldnt be allowed push shopping trolleys around tescos! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/mad.gif
no wonder insurance costs are so high...
