circlip on o/s/r classic driveshaft
 

just in the middle of replacing my rear driveshaft,has anyone else come across this,when i took out the shorter n/s/r shaft the circlip came out on the shaft but when i poped the drivers one out the circlip stayed in the groove in the diff,been up to my friend who breaks subarus and the three shafts he has removed from cars have no clip on them either so they must have stayed in the diffs,anyone found this???
