Kemble Airfield - Activity Day

Hi guys - I hope you don't mind me posting this up here but I was wondering if anyone might be interested in the following... Please note that this is a mixed car event.

We are holding an airfield activity day (in conjunction with BSE Motorsport) at Kemble on the 8th August, 2009.

We still have places available so please do get in touch if you are interested.

Here's a little more information...

The day is being run by a Bristol-based performance car activity day specialist who holds these days regularly at Kemble. (Kemble airfield is on the Wiltshire / Gloucestshire border near Cirencester).

The cost per car is £50 for the day and the number of cars is limited to 50 total, thus giving plenty of driving time to those in attendance.

The day is broken into sections - the morning will be mainly getting used to the surface and what your car is capable of (if you don't already know) utilising high speed bends and similar. The afternoon session is then open to many activities such as 0 to 60's, high speed runs, timed laps, handling practice and finishing off with a few free runs.

Catering and toilet facilities are provided on site so there is no desperate need to leave the airfield unless necessary.

Please note... payment must be in by 17th July 2009.
There will be NO extensions on this payment date and payment must have been received by us on this date - so no excuses please!

There are a few rules to be aware of:
  • You will not be allowed onto the site unless you sign the disclaimer, the reason for this is because your insurance will not be valid and you need to be responsible for your vehicle and any passengers that are with you.
  • No burnouts.this causes damage to the surface.
  • No racing, this is a practice day.we are not allowed to compete.
  • No drifting, this doesn’t mean no sliding though.drifting produces excessive tire squeal which upsets the neighbours.
  • Do not drive on the grass deliberately.Kemble hold regular shows and they need to keep the grassy areas in good condition.
  • Please do as the marshals ask.
  • Once inside the controlled area idle speed only.
  • Please give each other space whilst on the runway.
  • No littering.
  • Any accidental damage to property will be covered by Launch Motorsport, any damage caused by negligence will be covered by the Driver concerned.
  • All drivers will attend a short briefing prior to the days events.
If you are interested then please do let me know. :thumb:

Hi Daz,

Please feel free to post up the details on ClubVR4 mate - that would be very much appreciated. :thumb: It goes without saying that it would be great if you were able to come along and join us, too!

When you post the details can you please link to the 'official' page (this one) on Rebel as that is where the majority of the information is located.

Don't hesitate to get in touch if I can be of any further assistance. You can catch me (or my partner) on:

^^ This e-mail address gets checked regularly.

Many thanks,
Andy
