2.5L (still standard) UK spec again

nothing.... LOADS.... a bit more.... flat..... still grinning but u get used to it very quickly.

They only do 2ltr JDM cars ;) are you meaning the single or later twin scroll cars? (2003 onwards)

Blob 2.0l, hawk 2.5l jdm sti

Looking to purchase 1 of either, as ive only ever owned and driven a standard 05 uk blob sti, ive not got much experience with the different types.
What can i expect?
Also im looking to tweak to around 350/350 :)

Just a 2ltr JDM cars, they dont do a 2.5 JDM Impreza STI, 2.5's are UK/EU/US single scroll units, the 2ltr is a JDM twin scroll unit, its power delivery is completely different to that of the single scroll cars, with the power being much lower down the rev range (like 1500 rpm) and 8k red line.

All JDM Impreza STI's are 2ltr ;) even those hawks :D
Average power is around 310-320bhp out of the box, tune to 360 very easily with lots of torque, 400 costs about as much as it does with a UK 2ltr STI, absolutely fantastic cars to drive, you need to test one v a 2.5, some people like the 2.5 but its not got the character (or red line) of the 2ltr which is much more revvy :D

so blob and hawk are the same basically just the different front end?

The 05 cars had the different geometry setup etc that the uk cars had, but they have more goodies, ie quick rack steering, auto i/c spray, folding electric mirrors etc, higher spec of car, they did some changes to the 06 cars, gear ratio's and slightly upgraded boxes (could just be on the UK cars though, the JDM boxes are a little stronger as some parts are made from metal rather than polyeurothane (sp?) bits.
