My new Rota Force 18x9 et35 wheels

Hi,

I have been looking for a set of wheels for my Scooby, I decided to import a set of 18x9" Rota Force wheels in et35 fitment from the states.

Had them fitted to the car last week.

Looks lovely mate! I want either these or the rota grids. How much did they cost you if you don't mind? Its annoying that the don't do 18x9 here.

powerwrx 21 June 2009 04:47 PM

i got a set of these last week for mine but in the 8.5 width,i was going to go for the 9 in ones but thought they would rub the arches.

excellent choice:thumb:

GTW 21 June 2009 09:29 PM

They certainly fill the arches :D Nice stance...

dave_garrett 21 June 2009 10:01 PM

Look sweat mate :thumb: (love the deep dish you get with the low offset and 9's).

Another rota force 8.5 owner here wishing I'd been brave enough to go for 9's:cry:. Do they catch on the rears? Have you modded the arches?

beef-on-the-bone 21 June 2009 10:06 PM

Harryr34 22 June 2009 01:27 AM

lol thanks for the comments!

I had to have all four arches rolled, this was carried out by Paul from arch rolling and arch flaring - Top quality service

The four wheel alignment was set up by DMS Dixon Motorsport, Race and Track Car Preparation, London UK, providing tuning services and 4 wheel alignment, Honda and Mitsubishi Specialists - car handles very well!

I am running Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric tyres in 235/40/18 fitment. No rubbing issues!

Oh boy, this is just making it's way to you guys. You need some negative camber, fender rolling and smaller tires to make these fit good. Everyone is doing that "look" over here now. That's why I went with proper fitment rims and tires. It's just a fad. BTW, they are called Rota G-Forces.

look way:cool:mate love the stance:thumb:

Aggressive fitments just a fad? I think if it can be made to work without huge effor then it will stick, and as long as the car's handling doesn't suffer either - extreme lowering with 255 tyres etc as popular in the US is too much for UK roads.

I went for 8.5" Grids on 225 tyres so no problems. UK sourced but yeah those sizes only arrived recently.

Looks hard as nails mate, love it :luxhello:

18x8" will go on a classic with 215 tyres but I think you'll have issues with 8.5" and 225 tyres.
