Private Registration Plate
Hi guys,
I have a vehicle that is off the road at the moment & it has a private plate on it, the vehicle is out of tax & is being sold as soon as. Question is ..... do i need to tax it to put the PP on retention ?? Thanks |

Best to put it on retention first so the car has a plate on it when you sell it. Need to send your docs off.
Also does the car have an MOT? Because it needs to meet certain requirements to retain a reg. A friend lost one that way :( |
Its MOT'd & insured, tax ran out the end of may, the car hasnt been used since march sometime. I need to remove the plate to sell it but dont want to tax it if i can help.
Any ideas ? |

Any ideas ? However, if the vehicle is not taxed, you can still apply to retain provided: there is no break between the date the tax disc runs out and the start of the SORN and the tax disc run out no more than 12 months before the date you apply |
