max bhp from td05
 

just wondering whats the max bhp i can get from a td05 thats standard on the 93 classic :wonder:

are these figures right for the td range

Max Output:
TD05-14B (stock 1st gen) 275-300hp @ 21 psi
(TD05-16G (small) 345-365hp @ 22 psi *********** is this the 1 the 93 classics use) !
TD06-16G (large) 365-385hp @ 22 psi
TD06-20G 430-450hp @ 22 psi

i'd say no more than 340 mate but maybe a few on here have had a smidge more :)

Don't forget the 18G - up to approx 390bhp

I think the 16G figure are a little optomistic

ive been offered a v35 is this going to be much of an upgrade from my tdo5 ?

The VF35 is similar to the TD05 performance wise, but is a roller bearing iirc. From what I recall it spools up a little quicker, but the TD05 is a stronger turbo:?

The VF35 is a sleeve bearing turbo. It spools up quickly because it has a smaller exhaust housing than the rest of the VF range.

There you go, ignore my ramblings and listen to the expert:D

how about with 10%methanol?? should be able to get 340bhp then yes??

Westy i had 320 out of mine and that was maxed out mate..

When i FINALLY get around to sorting mine i'll be going for a simtec running a VF35.As long as it's a safe 320 again running the way i want it that's more than enough.

jennychen are supposed to be cheapest and easiest to get from re methanol but i am sure local deals are available
