Bling'd up my engine bay with some....

Elbow grease

had the car a few weeks now and the previous owner wasnt too bothered with how things looked under the hood, ever since i saw the filth, muck, dust, oil and grease that was all over it i have been meaning to get it cleaned not sure if i have OCD, my wife thinks i has but i am sure its only CDO (its the same but alphabetically correct! :))

So spent a morning cleaning the bay and am happy with it, now its time to start modding up properly.

That's incredibly mint-based! Boodiful.

How long did it take and stuff?

baz995 10 June 2009 04:34 PM

took three hours or so with the bloody rain, i used meguiars plastic/rubber cleaner:

Meguiar's Direct Gold Class Vinyl/Rubber Protectant

some white spirit on the caked on grease and old oil and about 8 microfibre cloths :-)

Are you a detailing freak? (like my mate is :Whatever_). :lol1:

baz995 10 June 2009 05:04 PM

:lol1: i am not sure really, i do enjoy shiny things, i always like to keep on top of it just stop corrosion where i can, keep an eye on any snags if any and some peace and quite from the wife and nipper :lol1:

So I assume mate that you just sprayed it on left it a while and rubbed it off with a little elbow grease, did u rinse it off with any water/hose/jetwash etc

baz995 11 June 2009 09:00 AM

Just sprayed it on and wiped it off, areas that were really bad just left it to soak a little whilst i did other areas and used an old toothbrush on some bad bits, then just wipe off, no rinsing at all :-)
