de cat help

hi people
i have a 93 wrx import and still has the cat fitted, i would like to do a de cat but have heard about common boost spikes with doing this, is there a way i can remove the cat and not have this problem maybe adjusting/changing/removing something and without having a remap.
any help would be much appreciated
thanks guys

Never had any problems with mine (except when it was really cold).
Just do it,reset the ecu go for a drive and see what happens.

i suppose i could just try it and if it plays up just put the cat back on and re think things, how do i do an ecu reset? thanks for the help

reset can be done by disconnecting the battery for an hour or so or Scoobypedia | Trusted knowledge for everything Subaru | Scoobypedia / Scoobypedia look under the ECU heading.
A manual boost controller can be used to stop any boost spikes

just take the battery off for a hour or so is the easiest way
