About 45miles away ?

It's about 40 miles Stu, best to go the A12, A130 and then A127 from Colchester.
It's my birthday on Thursday so I might show my face for once, depends on what the other half has planned!

probably 35 mins depending where in colchester you are it just off the a127 southend bound
