Air/Fuel ratio sensor (Lamda)
Hi,
Has anyone had the pleasure of changing the Air/Fuel ratio sensor (Lamda) on their 2003 Impreza WRX? The engine management light has lit, and has been confirmed by a local garage that this is the problem. The official part number is 22641-AA042. Subaru quoted the price for the part at £274.08 ex VAT. Others have offered the part for around the £320 mark, and £400 fitted. Therefore my question is can you get these parts for a cheaper price (ie afermarket Bosch ones etc?) I am willing to change it myself for a huge saving, although I know they can be a pig to remove because of the heat/expansion etc. Looking forward to a comment or two about this, thanks. |
these people should be able to sort you out:thumb:

First thing I did on mine when I bought it 2 years ago. Couldnt beleive the price quoted by subaru UK!.
Ended up buying one from the states, from a company called RockAuto, 120 quid delivered with all duties etc sorted and its the genuine Denso part! No wires to cut And arrived in 4 days!!!! RockAuto Parts Catalog and then copy and paste part number into search, its 141 dollars! |
Thanks a lot for all the replies.
Shane, It is the 5 wire one, not the 3 wire. I have been looking at them in states so that may be the way I go. One went on ebay today for £40 but I missed it :( Thanks again, will let you know how I get on. |
