Should my flaps be this low? ;)

Just after an opinion really, fitted my mud flaps this afternoon they are originally from scoobyparts but i purchased them as new from another member. The fitting instructions wern't present so i used a guide i found on here for another very similar type of mud flap.

They all fitted nicely and are solid the only problem i have is i think the front ones look a bit low:wonder:

I've got a couple of pics here to show how low it is and this is just after i've dropped it off the jack so i'm thinking once the suspension settles they'll be even lower  I'm runnin 18" wheels on lowered suspension on a blob wrx.

What do you think? Shall i take them off and trim them up? replies from people using the same flaps would be good ;)

i wouldnt worry. my carbon fibre ones drag on the floor on the slightest of uneven road surface. and speed bumps. doesnt worry me at all.

the only thing i would say tho, is make sure they sit nice and square when you down the flank of the car. but thats just me. im a bit anal like that. lol.

If your happy with them at that hight then leave it :) If not just lift them up a bit.

Nice one cheers guys that's a bit of a relief! As you know moving them up or down isn't really an option without a heap of drilling etc!

Nice one, i'll keep them as they are for the time being then, if i have trouble with them i'll have to trim them but from what you guys say they should be fine!

nice one!

Couple more pics from the rear! I'm chuffed with them :)

You dont need to trim them ...far easier to just drill some new holes in the mudflap material

Look about the same height as mine, the lower the better for me. Jay

When I got my car I found the front ones use to rub every now and then when cornering so raised them up a hole.

They don’t look too far off what yours currently look like.

Have to park two wheels on pavement outside my place and its a bugger sometimes having to forward park rather than reverse up and rip off flap - often easier to park round corner
