MY08 WRX Prodrive PP???

Hi,

I just booked my 2008 wrx in for the Prodrive Performance Pack.

I have a 1 page info sheet from Prodrive with some details about the pack. It doesnt detail what parts are involved, all I know is that the car will be getting a:

Recalibrated engine managment system and a Stainless steel sports exhaust.

It also says it will boost to: 255ps @ 5,400 rpm and 390 Nm @ 3,00 rpm.

My questions to anyone are:

Are the PPP worth it for £1,380? (Jersey island price)

Sounds expensive for just Recalibrated EMS and an exhaust( just 2 things)

Is the new exhaust a full exhaust system of just a section of the exhaust?

Are there any other new parts involved?

thanks! Joe

I had my 08 Sti PPP'd earlier this year, It was literaly new Cat Back Exhaust (from the down pipe back) and new EMS. I had real problems with the EMS, which did not get solved till pro-drive did a bespoke map for my engine. Anyway the car runs sweetly now, so much power.... (by my standard anyway). From what I have seen around the PPP is more expensive than other solutions, but I did not want to go outside warranty for my brand new car.

The choice is your.

Thanks for the post.
What is a bespoke map?

I am going to go for the PPP,as the car is new and warranty issues.
Hope they do a good job, will post how it goes.
thanks!

Having your particular engine (plus fuel choice) tuned - via the ECU's software - in such a way that the ignition timing/fuel/boost maps are totally optimised for that engine and its modifications.

This safely realises maximum power/torque from it, and most importantly the car's drivability e.g. throttle response, pull, etc. - which will be transformed. :)
