car overheating, help!!
 
my car was rebuilt 900 miles ago and has been no trouble until today.
bottom hose split and lost all water whilst at standstill, repaired and refilled, bled best i could and heaters hot so off i went, drove 225 miles and going up a hill and the temp gauge shooting up and heaters cold, tried to sort it with more water but just spits it all over and heaters blowing hot then cold and vice versa
please can someone cast their view and tell me my h/gaskets arent firked

sounds like a air lock if one minute heaters are hot then blowing cold,need to bleed the system out to get rid of air lock.

best way to refil to eliminate any air locks.,...

Take turbo coolant pipe off from the header tank end.
Remove small pipe from rad to header tank at the rad end.
Fill with a funnel etc from the turbo pipe (this would be the highest point)
When you see coolant flow from the rad, reconnect all pipes and then top up the header tank.

It may take a while to fill but works everytime! :thumb:
