When will the kits be here?

I will place the order Friday 5th June. There will be around an 8 week lead time from time of ordering. I will order some spare kits over and above the specific orders placed but if you want something specific then you need to get in touch before the orders placed with the factory. Obviously whats left will be a litte pot luck, I will order a small spread of extras but theres no guarentee Ill have what you require so best to get in touch before Friday 5th June so we can definately meet your requirements.

How do I get involved?

Just give us a ring to confirm your order. 01274 683633 NO BODY WILL BE CONSDERED CONFIRMED UNTIL THE PHYSICAL ORDER HAS BEEN PLACED. We will take all your details at time of ordering, a proforma will be generated and we will take card payment details. The payment will not be taken until 1 week before the boat is due to dock. Can highly recommend the 356 8-pot fronts and 330 6-pot rears as a combination.

Yep, if you can get 356mm under the front rims then 356mm and 330mm will be just fine although 356mm all round is also very popular.

The pad deals only with the complete kits Im afraid, we are keeping pads prices down to help the sales of the kits.

Havent been in work all week, just got back in today :)

The kits come with braided hoses. We can supply coloured calipers at a surcharge of £100 per pair BUT we will not guarentee the finish. We had some custom yellow calipers produced for our own cars and the slack amongst us (naming no names) have evidently not been careful when bleeding the brakes as the paint is peeling round the bleed nipples where its you can see that the fluid wasnt washed off like it should have been. Other than that theyve held up fine, no problems and little discoloration. However this is for the yellow only, I havent tried any other colours and as such I cant guarentee red wont go brown etc!

They will fit fine under your wheels.

Track days pose no problems. Replacement rotors are around £400 a pair but Im also planning on brining a batch of spare rotors on the same shipment at hopefully lower prices :)

Absolutely no problem, carriage to France is just £25 per box (so front kit alone, £25, front and rear kit £50).

Thats for the 356mm, the 330mm are cheaper. The prices are cheaper than AP equivilents but I agree that the price is a little steep so I am working on bringing the prices down. AP Racing do a direct replacement rotor as do, I believe, Performance Friction.

Ive got a front pair of these, with the upgraded DS2500 pads, had them for nearly a year, 10000 miles driven, and at my recent service at Zen they quoted on my invoice that the front disks and pads had worn just 5%! Amazing wear rate, and great brakes.

Mother Theresa 02 June 2009 11:44 AM

Performance Friction Rotor 356mm was £474.50 (for 2) last month when I enquired.

Ive just bought in a large batch of 356mm AP Racing rotors, theyre just £363 a pair so are excellent value for money replacements should they be needed :)

the bear1986 04 June 2009 09:10 PM

if you can put me down as i need a new brake set up and could you put me down for the DS2500 pads aswell also can i still have the standerd pads aswell or will that be more bren? also do you supply 5.1dot brake fluid?

bren@apex 05 June 2009 09:49 AM

You get the standard pads as well :)

Im about to put an order through to Motul for some RBF600 if its of interest. Its expensive at £12.50 per 1/2 litre but its good stuff.

the bear1986 05 June 2009 06:19 PM

thats almost race brake fluid isn't? how much will i need to replace all the brake fluid for the front and rear? also the braided hoses that comes with these what make are they?

Janspeed 05 June 2009 09:18 PM

Hey Bren,

Is this groupbuy the same as one of the banners on the site advertises?

If so I might be interested in a set of FRONT 8 pot 330mm, with the Ferodo pads.
Could you pm me the total value including transport for Portugal.

The arrival time for the order is still quite long, right?

Bealescooby 06 June 2009 01:25 AM

so , so tempted
