Hi not got a subaru yet but gona be geting a sti type uk.Just now I drive a renaultsport megane 225 which has been remapped.Am just wondering whats involved in remapping a scooby,what sort of gains you get and roughly how much it costs.Thanks

Hi Gaz,

Welcome.

I believe the type UK which will be bug blob hawk and newage all have remappable ECU's standard.

I think you will need an ECU tek license + remap. So possible 600 for the first time, 250 every time after that. I believe the license is literally a software license, to run the new ECU software on ur stock ecu.

The gains on a standard car are supposed to be worth it, however more so with getting the best out of any power mods you do, and essential to ensure the engine remains running correctly.


I could be wrong above, im sure simon from JGM or Andy Forrest will be along shortly to tell you 100% what the score is.
