Software for DVD to AVI?
 

Hi, can anyone help me pls. I'm after some software to save DVDs into AVI (Divx) format. (On Windows Vista).

I've googled this, and frankly there are just far too many shareware applications to sift through. So rather than spending all evening installing and then uninstalling things, I thought I'd put the question to the collective brain of Scoobynet.
