Just wondered what everyone is running their cherished motors on. I have heard differing views.

e.g. Fully synthetic 5-40 Good or Bad…… some say 15-50 semi synthetic is the best choice……

Anyone care to comment??

Cheers

Julian

I've been using Motul 300V Comp oils, 15-50 for summer use, and 5-40 for our (fekin) cold winter.

Seems to work well.

I have my Japanese WRX serviced at TSL and they use the Silkolene oil PRO-S 10W50. I think Scoobysport recommend this as well. My UK impreza was serviced by my local dealer and they use Shell Helix. My first 1000 mile oil change in the WRX was done at a local tuners and they put in Mobil Motorsport 15W50, I think. DO NOT PUT IN Mobil One 0W40 though as its much to thin !!!

It seems the concensus is 10-15w/50-60w if you get what I mean. Also everyone recommends fully synthetic oil after the car is run it.
