Got it at last! NON-sleeper....

Well, after about 9 months deciding and then waiting for this one to come up for sale, I finally have it.

2003 X50 996TT, 450bhp, 620Nm, and 30k miles.

An unusual colour yes, and not to everyone's taste, but that's why I like it!

Very nice car (apart from the wheels don't look right, too narrow at the rear.. standard turbo rims look nicer imo)

Too narrow? Not sure what you mean.
Same size as the standard rims.
These were an official Porsche factory option - 18" Sport Techno.

can i have a go mister?? very nice

jameswrx 10 May 2009 10:23 PM

Maybe it's just the pic but the standard rear wheels on turbo's deffinately seem to have more width/dish. The optional whels on yours almost look the same front to back?

I think I know what you mean.
It's probably the shadow from my truck on the rear wheel and the angle I took the photo from, but the wheels are exactly the same size as the standard ones.

Whether the dish is slightly different, I don't know.
But to me, it looks stunning in the flesh. ;)

ETA - looking at your pics again, the spokes on the Techno are very sharp compared to the rounded standard wheel spokes. Could have something to do with it?

Beautiful car, no doubting that! Congrats on an awesome purchase.

Very nice Zip. Stunning in fact.

Cheers mate, I'm well chuffed as you can imagine.

The colour is called Viola metallic, special order.

Allan 11 May 2009 05:16 PM

Lovely car zip..........enjoy.

Hoppy 11 May 2009 05:47 PM

Utterly fantastic. Especially at that mileage. Gorgeous colour too. Four-wheeled perfection :)

But I've got to ask - how much (to the nearest £10k will do) :D

Fabulous thank you :)

How is yours?

Come to Elvington and we can have a race ;)

With your extra power you might edge the straight line but mine has MUCH less weight to get around the corners (as long as I stay off the pies).

Health to enjoy. This was my dream car before the SL65 AMG was gleam in the designer's eye, and may i say sir, your choice of colour, inspired

And therein lies a problem.
I've just had 3 weeks on holiday so I'm already carrying an extra 2Kgs.
That would be unfair on me. :lol1:

I wouldn't mind seeing yours though.
When's Elvington happening and where is it?

Stryder 13 May 2009 09:26 PM

Lovely car mate.

Enjoy!!
