Scooby Versions?

Hi folks, Moved on from my beloved 182 and now run a Scoob,(04 WRX totally standard cept from a Millteck back box) When looking for upgrade parts all ads tend to state "version 5/6/7/8 ect"
What are the version models and what is mine?? Sorry to go back to rock bottom basics, hope you can help..:wonder:

Version numbers relate to a Japanese Import spec vehicle. British/Euro spec cars don't use version numbers. Yours is as you say, a 2004 WRX (Blobeye I guess). Someome correct me if I'm wrong!

The version 4/5/6/7/8 relates to what version of STi the car is.
Classic Sti's were....
94-95 Version 1
95-96 " 2
96-97 " 3
97-98 " 4
98-99 " 5
99-00 " 6
Bug eyes the started
00-03 version 7
Blob eyes
03-05 version 8
Hawk eyes
05-08 version 9
Then the Hatchback scoobs took over

The WRX's are basically just known as MY04 WRX in your case
Where as a UK turbo 2000 from 1997 would be a MY97

Great info guys!!! It all seems to start to make sense now..all I wanted was an STI rear spoiler for my silver WRX and all I got was baffled with version numbers-will fit that/won't fit that bla.bla.
Got an idea now what I,m looking at!! ;"The learning curve just streightened out abit"
Cheers and thanks.

The 'versions' stopped at version 6.It was a JDM term to distinquish between the different STi classics. There is no such car as a version 7,8,9 etc they are distinguished by the model/year of car ie bugeye STi will be an MY01/MY02 STi Blobeye will be MY03-MY05 STi etc etc

HTH

Thanks to bushiwarrior and scooby-tc for the info, there certainly seems to be a fair ammount of history behind the badge! Cheers.
