Turbine car anyone?

Hadn't ever heard of these but fascinating.

Runs on any fuel (alcohol, petrol, diesel, veg oil) or any mixture without any changes or modifications and you can switch between types!
No warm up required.
130hp at 3600 revs
425 lb-ft of torques at ZERO revs!!

Would love to hear what they sounded like at full chat.

My dad had the chahance to drive the Rover 'JET 1' he recalls it was great fun winding up the turbine and letting the car off the brakes, great acceleration for the period. One of the big snags was the large flames shooting out the back that would of made driving one in traffic a little problematic.

He then later owned the P4 Pininfarina prototype (the convertible one).

In the early 90s Volvo made a prototype gas-turbine hybrid (very small turbine running at optimum rpm for fuel efficiency, driving a generator).

I want a jet car :)
