Can this really be the new XJ ?.

The NA XJ will have the new direct injected 5.0ltr V8 ( 380bhp ), and the XJR will have the same V8 with a supercharger (500+bhp ).Apparently Jaguar will unviel on the 09 of July this year.

The all new XJ - Jaguar

The roadster i posted about is named the XE-Type, and Jaguar are apparently going to build it for the 50th anniversary of the E-Type.It's going to compete against the Z4 and the Boxster.Me preferably would like to see there new turboed straight six in there, and an all new V12 to be honest.

Yes it is the new XJ there are a few disguised prototypes around testing in the Midlands

Looks nice, but doesn't look very Jag like, but then again nor did the XF.

To be honest I always liked the current model. Especially in black. Problem is no one bought one! :lol1:

Yeah i know funny that Turbo2, i think the reason for this is some people thought it was old fashioned and the new 4x4's came on to the market with the new Mercs, BMW's & Lexus saloons etc.To be honest if Jaguar don't succeed with the new XJ, the offerings are down to three and i doubt that is enough. Also Plato tested the XJR & said that it doesn't handle ( too soft ), well the XJ12C is the same only people still buy them & they are what 35+ years old.I'm will Turbo2 the current face-lift is much more tasteful.

I heard that Jag have made more concept cars than almost any other company. Time will tell if they decide to knock this one out.

ScooByer Trade 01 May 2009 11:57 AM

Here is some of them Timwinner, F-Type aka Xk180, DC6 3dr hatch, C-XJ ( XJ saloon ), C-XF ( XF saloon ) & CE-Type ( new 50th Anniversary E Type out next year apparently ) and R Coupe'.

The first photo there Turbo2 posted is a silver XF not XJ.Jaguar hasn't released other pictures, they are just going to uncover the car at the London motorshow in July. What i would like to see is the current XJ with the supercharged 5.0ltr V8 battling against the M5 & kicking it's ugly ass all the way around the track.

Oh i was reading the latest CAR magazine today and the latest 3.0ltr bi turbo diesel XF was road tested, the engine got very high praises too 275bhp & 445 pounds feet of torque. So bye bye 530d.

I just took the photo from the Road & Track link from the earlier poster (titled: "10 Cars To Watch For: 2010 Jaguar XJ & XJR"). This article was not supposed to be about he XF.

You'd have thought they knew what photo they were putting up!
