If its a WRX it should have the Turbo outlet hose, like so

It should have a sticker (on the doorshut IIRC) saying it has the PPP, i'm sure if you ring your local subaru dealer they may be able to give you a yes or no.

But its not hard to fit the Prodrive backbox, plenty available on ebay etc, so could just have the Backbox.

The early Bugeye PPP had a piggy back ECU and should come with a certificate. The dealer shoul dhave put a sticker on the door but not all did :( The dealer should tell you from his database if the VIN has a genuine PPP.

Someone has painted the brake callipers and swapped the OEM lights for Morettes (No bad thing in my mind). Could have easilly swapped the exhause as well, most people did as the OEM twin peashooter looked terrible IMHO.

Bugeye WRX with PPP should bring up the BHP to 265 PS on a good day with a following wind LOL.

Do your homework first then you will be sure !

Timwinner 25 May 2009 07:49 PM

If you can see the sticker, it has no paper work indicating its PPP then its safest to assume its not.
A lot of dealers will put PPP in there adverts as they know its this hard to find out if its a real one.
You should find a real one with the right documents easily enough, and there is a chance this is a genuine PPP but without paper work it will be just as hard to sell on as PPP. Its a case of buyer beware.
