Morettes

Hi,

Can someone tell me what bulbs the blobeye morettes take?

Also where's the best place to get them from, I can only find them forsale at E-Styling at £365

chris_bobuk 26 April 2009 08:30 AM

Anyone

Timwinner 26 April 2009 09:20 AM

Looks like there are a few bits on Ebay, Always worth a punt.

chris_bobuk 26 April 2009 09:27 AM

I had a look last night and couldn't see any.

I have HID's in the OEM lights want to know if they are the same lamp type or not

Timwinner 26 April 2009 09:46 AM

Try the fellas in the tech section, They are wells of knowledge about stuff like this. Also if you do ebay try alternative spellings eg morettes, morette, morrete I know it sounds stupid but I find most of my bargains that way.

chris_bobuk 26 April 2009 09:54 AM

I'll have a look again, only swapping cause the OEM ones are damaged, one is split down the back and keeps misting up.

easyrider1961 26 April 2009 10:13 AM

these guys sell them but out of stock due to the high demand of them

chris_bobuk 26 April 2009 10:27 AM

I need blobeye ones, mines an 03 blobeye.
Only place I can find that sells them are E-styling.
I have heard main dealers sell them but not 100% sure on that.

Did you notice much of an improvement over the OEM lights?

easyrider1961 26 April 2009 10:31 AM

was lucky had these fitted by subaru as factory extra along with full leather interia by previous owner think they look a lot better than the standard lights hence the shortedge of them for sale so to answer your question dont no any difference in lights lol

chris_bobuk 26 April 2009 10:35 AM

Yeah, the blobeye OEM lights seem to hold their money thats why I want to get Morettes instead.
Ebay they are 120 each 2nd hand so for the extra 120 rather buy brand new morettes

easyrider1961 26 April 2009 10:39 AM

i agree mate at least if ya buy new you have oppsion of getting them sprayed to match your cars colour by the seller for a small charge then just fit them on arrival saves pissing about then

chris_bobuk 26 April 2009 10:41 AM

Advantage of having a black car, they may not ned spraying lol

easyrider1961 26 April 2009 10:45 AM

 you cheap skate

easyrider1961 26 April 2009 10:46 AM

ive got a mate thats got a pair for sale but there in white (joke)

chris_bobuk 26 April 2009 10:48 AM

zebra look could be gd lol

easyrider1961 26 April 2009 10:50 AM

see ya are cheap i told ya lol

chris_bobuk 26 April 2009 10:52 AM

lol I'm not, I would be buying 2nd hand if I was cheap!

I'll have to see what they are like if I can find them then get them sprayed if they look out of place

easyrider1961 26 April 2009 10:55 AM

estyling are a main dealer so might be your best bett or the one i mentioned looking on net now for ya but finding it hard to find a set like yourself

chris_bobuk 26 April 2009 11:02 AM

I heard E-Styling can be hard work going by the threads on here.
They are like rocking horse poo for my car by the looks of it.

easyrider1961 26 April 2009 11:07 AM

from what i understand you have hit the nail on the head even from the bugeye to the blobeye you have more chance of a pidgeon ****ing on your head than getting some, but wish you luck in your search

chris_bobuk 26 April 2009 11:10 AM

The quest will start tomorrow finding a pair lol

easyrider1961 26 April 2009 11:41 AM

good luck with the quest

chris_bobuk 26 April 2009 12:23 PM

E-Styling will be the first port of call I think.
No great rush really both lights work but not that good looking with marks on them etc
Kinda lets the side down having **** lamps on it.

easyrider1961 26 May 2009 09:37 AM

chris bobuk hows the quest going for those morettes

chris_bobuk 26 May 2009 09:56 AM

A set went on ebay the other week for 440 which I aint paying for 2nd hand ones.
Theres a set on there now 2 days to go and they are at 200 so will go for the same I think.

So on that note I got 2 OEM lights that will get put back in for the ones that keep steaming up.

The orange bits can stay in there as they aint coming apart and risk steaming up, HIDS will go in main beam but dipped just uprated lamps.
I'm looking at driving lamps for the fogs now and I'll stick in my other HIDS there. They will be for winter use only though I'll run the fog cover in the summer I think.

Just need to find the driving light kit now.

My Bulbs for my Morrettes are H1 and H7 :thumb:

scousefly 27 May 2009 08:19 AM

They aren't

Being made anymore for the Subaru so second hand is all you will get. I tried everywhere for mine on an 04WRX not a chance:mad:
Estyling IF they get back to you wont be able to supply them. I originally got mine from TSL and they searched high and low for them to no avail. Luckily I managed a second hand pair from someone off here, still have the bulbs and glass front but the plastics are shot to a fair degree.
