There should be another pipe that comes of the dump valve and fits to either the spare outlet coming of the inlet manifold. Or you need to t-piece into a pipe coming of the inlet manifold.
It need the vacum difference in the inlet manifold to tell the valve when to open and close. Hense if it does not have this input it will remain closed all the time.
Give it a try and let us know.

ive connected the pipe that was on the origional standard dump valve to the top of the turbosmart one is that what you mean. ive also put the bung in the recirc pipe

Blank off the recirc pipe using the bung and connect a vacum pipe to the small outlet ontop of the valve.

From what I can tell you have it installed correctly. The pipe at the top is the old vacuum hose that you previously had connected to the top of the old recirc yeah?, and as you say the bung is fitted on the turbo recirc hose. Have you tried adjusting the DV settings. My GFB ones has setting up instructions that I'll dig out that may help.

Is the car making enough boost to open it is the question. If is set too hard then it won't. I had a similar issue with a forge one when my boost solenoid was knackered, it just wasn't boosting enough to open the DV.

the car boosts to 1bar but ill try setting the bov to soft setting. its adjustable on top and i was told to set it to hard maybe its too hard (i hope) other than that i dont know whats wrong.. its fitted correctly as far as i can see

I loved my forge, but I bought to try and fix a boost problem and it didn't work. Ended up selling back to the guy I bought it off.

I'll get around to fitting the GFB one to my new intercooler soon, when we don't need the car as our daily runner again:(
