Engine management light?!

Any help would be appreciated.

Ok Brought my scoobie last year, but a Full Decat on her, have taken that off now due to selling the car, but my engine management light is still on. There is no running problems with the car, its as good as before but not sure why the light is still on?!

Its a 54plate WRX.

Any help?!

Regards

if the light has always been on then it needs to be plugged in to be switched off

Hi there. have you you unplugged the MAF sensor whilst the engine was on or egnition on?

gorgeousguy 25 April 2009 12:20 PM

Whats the MAF sensor?

Is that the sensor on the downpipe if so then no, I have only ever started the car with the whole exhaust on the car?!

No.

MAF = Mass Air Flow. Tells the ECU haow much fuel to inject for any given airflow density.

It's fitted btween airbox and turbo intake hose. it has an electrical connector to it (for the ECU to read it's output voltages).

see if you can find anyone local with a tactrix cable, you can read and clear the codes with that, or best bet get the ecu reset to let it relearn all values due to going back to standard,
